A cookout at the park

Yesterday we went as a family to the park for a pinic with members from our church. Elijah had a great time. He tried out the swing. As you can see from the picture, he enjoyed himself. We let him try out the moonbounce. Elijah sat there and watched the big kids bounce. He didn't want to get down much he would rather be held and watch all the sites. The end of the night was Elijah passed out in the car, always a sign of a successful evening.

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day. We woke up to homemade blueberry pancakes. Later on we grilled steak and shrimp. The best part about Father's Day; Elijah said "dada" for the first time, for real. :) What a blessing and great timing!

New pictures of the prince

Here are a few pictures we took during the rain. It was the first time it had rained in a while and we enjoyed the view from the porch. The lighting was perfect!

A few from the zoo

Since we have yearly passes to the zoo, we go there a lot. Eli now notices all the animals and we have the best time teaching him about God's amazing world. Here are a few from our last trip. The one where Eli is staring down the bird is hilarious!

Elijah's Obsessions....

Elijah is obsessed with a few things that make us laugh and scratch our heads. He LOVES his mickey mouse sock and crawls all around the house with it. After a month of telling him no when he wanted one of our power cords, we gave him his own. Strange I know, but he is happy with his little power cord and now doesn't want ours. He loves mom's make up brushes. It all started with Elijah wanted to sit by mom while she put her makeup on. Now he expects his own brush. I hope we don't mess him up later. :) He loves to water the flowers because Mom let's him play in the water. He loves to rip the flowers apart when we give him one. He loves the vacuum and will sit and watch us vacuum waiting for his chance to touch the vacuum.

He is also obsessed with drink bottles. If we are drinking out of a bottle, then he wants to join us and will fuss until he gets it. :) He LOVES cantaloupe, bread and rice. And would prefer to feed himself, no help needed or wanted most of the time. He is starting to refuse baby food, this kid has a sophisticated palate.

He is growing up too quick. Yesterday, we watched him play. He can now go pretty much anywhere he wants. And he does. We want him to stop... but every day he is learning new things. How do you balance between wanting him to learn and not losing the small little baby? He is our big boy and it is enough to break our heart and light up our world all at the same time. We are so blessed. Thank you Lord for our miracle.
