New Friends and some pictures

In just two days Elijah had two new friends to join our world. Katie Scarlet and Chloe Ann are here! Elijah wasn't much interested yet, but Mom and Dad thought they were beautiful. How blessed we are to have so many babies around the same age. It will be so much fun as they get older.

Mom also took a few pictures to share. I will call this the many faces of Elijah. What an incredible little boy!

Lots of catching up to do....

Wow, what a busy week it has been! Elijah has done many things during his first Thanksgiving holiday.

Elijah spent the day with Nana. What a fun day that was! He had so much fun that he slept for HOURS after she left. Elijah is still not rolling over. We can't get him to spend any time on his tummy. As soon as we lay him on his stomach, Elijah screams like crazy. Elijah is about to roll over from his back to his tummy but still needs a little more practice. Elijah has been 'talking' a lot lately. It is so much to hear him start using his vocal cords.

We put up the Christmas tree this weekend. The picture of him above is his first look at the lights. This weekend we put him next to the tree and he talked to the tree for over an hour. He was so excited with all the lights.

How to put Elijah asleep: Our little guy is spoiled when it comes to a sleeping position. He must be swaddled, his feet propped up with the boppy, paci in mouth, a babbling brook playing on the CD player, and the heater going to keep it warm. He just won't fall asleep otherwise. Here is a picture to prove it! We love our little guy!

Sleeping through the night

Elijah slept through the night for the first time ever last night! He slept from 7pm - 5 am. What a incredible little guy! We hope this is a sign of things to come. :)

Laughing and Grabbing....

For the first time last night, Elijah starting laughing. Mom and Eli were sitting on the couch and Mom was touching his chin and nose. Elijah thought that was the funniest thing ever. He laughed for over 5 mins. It melted Mom and Dad's heart.

This morning was another great discovery, Elijah reached for a ring on his play gym and grabbed it! He seemed so proud of himself. He started kicking, smiling, and playing hit little heart out. The picture is of him having the best time. :)

First Road Trip and Visit to Oma's

Elijah has had an exciting few days. On Thursday we took a trip to Oma's house (that is mom's mom). We discovered that Eli loves windchimes. He eyes opened SO big. I guess we will be getting some windchimes for Christmas. I am not sure who had more fun, Oma or Elijah?

Saturday we took a roadtrip. Dad had the great idea to take off to Nashville. The fall leaves were BEAUTIFUL! Elijah slept the whole trip to and from Nashville. Mom and Dad saw the sights of downtown Nashville and saw the Gaylord OpryLand all decorated for Christmas. We even stopped and bought a Christmas CD and listened to the Christmas music the rest of the trip. The only time we ventured out of the car, was to see the Rainforest Cafe. We picked up two coffee cups for Mom and Dad, and a sippy cup for Elijah in a few months. We had so much fun!

Elijah is just about to roll over. Every day he is getting closer. He is the perfect little boy!

Birthday Party and Picture Session

Today was such a fun day. Mom and Elijah went to Laura Leigh's 3rd birthday party. Elijah received his first favor from the party, a full set of armour! Wow! There was a puppet show on Snow White and Elijah seemed to be very interested. He watched the whole show intently. Our little guy was flirting also. He smiled at lots of people today.

Last night we had a little photo session. Mom is so proud of the pictures. The pictures really show some great facial expressions. Elijah is the most handsome boy ever, at least that is what mom and dad says!

Shopping, Sleeping, and Smiling...

This weekend we went Christmas shopping for Elijah. What a difference a year makes! Last year we thought we couldn't have children, this year, we are shopping for our son's Christmas. God is so good! We have bought all but one thing for Eli for Christmas. It is so hard to not go crazy and buy him everything. Mom and Dad had a blast playing with all the toys. Elijah was wide-eyed the entire time we were in the toy store. So many sounds and things to discover. I am not sure who had more fun.

Elijah has slept in his crib all night with only a 2am feeding for an entire week. It seems like the rice cereal suggestion from Dr Wilson is helping. Eli LOVES the bottles with rice cereal. He gobbles them down. Elijah smiles so much now. His dimples are enough to melt your heart. He favorite activity is for Mom to lift him in the air, he will almost laugh. We are finding that being a parent is getting easier with every week. With every smile, we know that every sleepness night is worth it.

We are blessed!
