First haircut

We did it... we cut Elijah's hair. It was getting too stringy and we couldn't make it look good to save our life. Mom thought she would be strong... but when she saw the first cut she teared up. Our little boy is so big. Our neighbor cut his hair at her shop. A full circle momment for sure. I babysat her son as a baby and he graduated highschool this week now she is cutting my son's hair. God is good!

Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day. We spent the day at the zoo and Elijah fed the lorikeets for the first time. It was an incredible day to just be together. Elijah did have a neat first that day... He LOVES lemonade!

First Word

Elijah said his first word last week. He said "Bye Bye" as I was leaving for work. Mom and Dad just stopped and looked at each other. Where is my baby going and who is this big boy!?

Going to the zoo.... zoo.... zoo

Today Mom and Elijah spent the day at the zoo with our friends Stephanie and little Anna and Jennifer and big boy Sam. Elijah petted his first goat. We also saw the splash seal show for the first time. We had the best time and enjoyed being outside having fun with friends.

Meeting Cori.... not Daddy!

Mom's friend Cori came ALL the way from PA to see Elijah. (Well, maybe not just to see Elijah.) Mom was able to get out of the house and have lunch without Elijah. Elijah stayed at home and played with Daddy. Elijah loved Cori, especially her jewelry. Aren't these pictures sweet?

Hanging out with Nana...

On Mother's Day Nana came for lunch. Elijah had the best time playing with his new table that Nana spoiled him with. We have never seen Eli play with something as long as he did on Sunday. It is was great to spend some time with Nana and extra special because it was on Mother's day.

Mom's first Mother Day

We had a great Mother's Day. I am so amazed to be able to call myself a mom. So many Mother's days were so different but this one warmed my heart and made me grateful to the Lord for our miracle. Elijah is the light of my life and a reason to smile.

Meeting new but old friends!

Saturday we met some new friends, well kind of. Mom has been on a message board with some incredible women that all had babies at the same time. Saturday was in GREAT day to meet one of those special friends. We met Shanna, her DH Jason, and her adorable son named Eli. The Eli's had a good time when we let them play for a minute. We are all looking forward to the next playdate and have plans to build a bear!

Beach pictures!

Eli LOVED the beach. He had the best time in the sand and was wide mouth the whole time he was in the pool. He tried cheese grits at the Oyster House and he loved them just like mom! Eli's favorite part about the trip: He loved the room. We were in a suite and he was able to crawl and crawl and crawl! His first vacation was a hit!

Here are a few pictures of Eli pulling up. Also, the picture of him refusing to let go of my pants. I put him down to play and he decided he didn't want to do that. He wanted Mom and refused to take no for an answer. We love him so much.
